PN Sequences

5.0 Orthogonal Sequences



Two Pn Sequences Ci(t) and Cj(t) are said to be Orthogonal if and only if:
  • Their respective Normalized Auto-Correlation Fuction are equal to unity "1" at time-shifted zero (0).
  • Their Cross-Correlation Function is equal to zero for all time-shift values.
Averaged over the code Length, the Cross-Correlation function of PN Sequences is not zero. As a result, PN Sequences are not perfectly orthogonal.
