5.0 How are PN Codes generated?
PN sequences, also referred to as PN codes, can be generated with a n-stage Linear Shift Register where:
- Appropriate taps are connected to a Modulo 2 adder;
- A seed pattern (other than an all-zeros state) is continuously shifted through the Linear Shift Register, triggered by a clock.
