PAGE_CHAN
Definition: PAGE_CHAN is the number of paging channels supported by a base station. The number of paging channels is from one upto and including seven. The mobile first listens to paging messages from a base station on PAGE_CHAN number decimal one. If another paging channel is assigned, it is assigned from this "default" paging channel.

Example: PAGE_CHAN is a 3-bit binary data field in the systems parameters message. Decimal 1 is assigned to the first paging channel.
