PN Sequences By Dr. Ernest Simo 1.0 Definition and Generation Generation of Pseudo-Noise (PN) Sequences PN Sequences, also referred to as PN Codes sequences can be generated with a n-stage Linear Shift Register where: Appropriate taps are connected to a Modulo 2 adder; A seed pattern (other than an all-zeros state) is continuously shifted through the Linear Shift Register, triggered by a clock.
