 3.0 TIME DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS

In TDMA systems, given a Frequency, a channel is a Time Gate. Here, a
channel is defined as a Time-Slot coupled to a Frequency slice. It
is a two-dimensional entity expressed as (Fi,TSj):- Having a Frequency (Fi) is a necessary, but not sufficient, condition to defining a TDMA channel.
- Having a Time-Slot (TSj) is a necessary, but not sufficient, condition to defining a TDMA channel.
- We require both the Frequency and Time dimensions.
Consider a total bandwidth B subdivided info N frequency slices. If each frequency slice is organized into M Time-Slots, N x M users may be supported simultaneously.
